Interim Chancellor Chris Maples will present S&T’s State of the University address at noon Monday, Oct. 2, in Leach Theatre. He will give a brief university update and then open the floor to audience questions. Staff, faculty and students are encouraged to participate.

Volunteer for career fair in February

Career opportunities and employer relations (COER) seeks volunteers to staff the Spring Career Fair, scheduled for 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, in the Gale Bullman Building. SUB presents ‘Minute to Win It’

Based on the hit TV show, “Minute to Win It,” the Student Union Board (SUB) will bring similar games to S&T 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, in the Carver-Turner Room of the Havener Center. Try as many times as you like to see if you can “win it in a minute.” Prizes will be given to participants with the fastest times.

Swing by Gale Bullman for swing dance club

Ever thought about learning to swing dance? What about learning stunts? Join the Aerial Swing Dance Club 7-10 p.m. on Wednesdays and Sundays in the aerobics room of the Gale Bullman Building. Students teach other students, beginning with the basics. Students also teach stunts with both lead and follow teachers, spotters and mats, for comfort and safety. There are no commitments or member fees, so feel free to attend when you can and learn something new.

B-I-N-Go to bingo

Join the Student Union Board (SUB) for bingo 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, in the dining area of the Havener Center. Play bingo like never before — SUB has bumped the basic patterns and added prizes to make bingo the highlight of your Wednesday.

‘Active shooter’ response training on campus today

University Police is hosting response training for approximately 40 law enforcement officers Wednesday, Jan. 11, on Missouri S&T’s campus. Participants will take classes in Bertelsmeyer Hall during the morning and undergo scenario training with replica weapons in Harris Hall in the afternoon.

Students offering Aladdin dance camp for children

The Missouri S&T Ballet and Dance Club will host Aladdin dance camps for children ages 3-13. The camp costs $35 per child. Participants can attend one of two camps:

  • Sunday, Jan. 29, at The Dance Studio, 939 Parkwood Drive in Rolla
  • Sunday, Feb. 5, at Stone Crest, 12355 Route CC in Rolla

Worship service held on Thursdays

Christian Campus Fellowship hosts “Catalyst,” a bible study and worship event for students at 7 p.m. every Thursday. Join the first Catalyst of the semester at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, in St. Pat’s B and C of the Havener Center.
