Missouri S&T Choirs

Are you interested in singing in a choir? Did you know there are three choirs at Missouri S&T? Men’s Chorus, open to all men on campus (students, faculty, and staff) meets Mondays and Wednesdays, noon – 12:50 PM. Rehearsals begin August 29. Chamber Choir is a smaller, auditioned SATB (men and women) which meets on Tuesday and Thursday, 12:30 PM – 1:45 PM. Auditions will be held August 23 during rehearsal time with the first rehearsal being August 25. If you’d never sung in a choir, or you don’t want to audition, University Choir is the ensemble for you. This is a non-auditioned SATB group in which you’ll learn a little about reading music and singing. University Choir meets Tuesday and Thursday, 2 PM- 3:15 PM with their first rehearsal being August 23. Have a lab one of those days? You are still welcome to join us. All groups rehearse in room 138 of Castleman Hall. For more information, contact conductor Lorie Francis, Assistant Teaching Professor, at lorief@mst.edu.

Volunteer with the Second Saturday Service Program

Registration is required online through OrgSync by the second Wednesday of the month. It is free to participate, and service projects will generally run from 8 AM – until about 12:30 PM. This semester’s projects include: September 10: Kaleidoscope Discovery Center, October 8– Ozark Rivers Audubon Society, and November 12: Rolla Presbyterian Manor.
