Miners for Recovery Group begins

Can students in recovery still have a “normal” college experience at S&T without alcohol/drugs? Counseling, Disability Services, and Student Wellness (CDSW) would like to recognize National Recovery Month in September to highlight the value of peer support by educating, mentoring, and helping others. Missouri S&T has its own Collegiate Recovery Program, Miners for Recovery, which is a supportive group that provides an opportunity to explore behaviors and ideas for change to avoid future consequences related to drugs and alcohol in a safe setting. This group helps students in recovery for alcohol and drug use enhance their college experience. Meetings are currently taking place on Thursdays at 11 a.m. in 204 Norwood Hall.
