Mental Health Awareness Week

Counseling, Disability Support, and Student Wellness reminds you that next week, Feb. 20 to 24, 2017 is Mental Health Awareness Week. The American Psychological Association reports that upwards of 40% of college students experience anxiety to the point of seeking help. Depression follows as a leading cause of distress. The good news is that CDSW counselors can teach you how to manage upsetting feelings and still succeed academically. Join us for “Pop the Stigma” at the Miner Well on Monday outside the library; we’ll offer a free Mental Health Screening at lunch time in Havener on the 23rd: and there will be a drop in relaxation session in 201 Norwood at noon on Friday the 24th.
